Philosophy Statement
My overall philosophy in life is to leave a lasting legacy and impact on people because when you die that’s what you leave behind. I also strive to continually making myself a greater person everyday. Additionally, my Dad’s philosophy that I strongly believe is that you can always give to others even if you feel you have nothing.
Specifically with Chester Community Fellowship, I felt like it was a good opportunity to go outside of my comfort zone. Initially I wanted to provide young women confidence in their abilities in science but working with Science for Kids I was able to empower young kids who lack the opportunity and resources to excel in science. However having the opportunity to work with a new kinds of people from completely different demographic and background from mine, but draw so many parallels with people from my hometown Chicago that also faces problems with gun violence, poverty, and corruption. Additionally, I was able to discover the positives in a place that is constantly degraded by like authority, media and people of power.
